About our Law Firm
Schultz & Myers: St. Louis Personal Injury Lawyers
With offices throughout Missouri, Illinois, and Arkansas, Schultz & Myers, LLC has quickly gained a reputation as one of the Midwest’s most dynamic and aggressive Plaintiff Personal Injury Law Firms.
Our Mission Statement
Stephen Schultz and Josh Myers founded Schultz & Myers Law Firm on the idea that lawyers should represent people, not their own pocket. When we say “Injury Lawyers Putting YOU First,” we mean it as more than a slogan.
The attorneys at our law firm represent people, not powerful corporations. Ultimately, we believe that your personal injury case is YOUR case, not ours. Sure, we’re here to do the paperwork and talk to the insurance adjusters, but you will always have a voice in your own legal process.
You’ll be on a first-name basis with your attorney, paralegal, and case manager, with instructions to call any time you need. Your attorney will even give you his or her cell phone number so that you can call after-hours in the event of an emergency.
Free Case Evaluations
First; most personal injury law firms (Schultz & Myers included) will NOT charge you for an initial consultation. Many law firms in the area advertise their free consultations as though it’s a rarity, but we want this myth busted because we think it gives the schemey lawyers an excuse to continue charging. If a personal injury law firm asks for an upfront fee, move along; they’re not good lawyers.
What to Expect from a Case Consultation
More often than not, people who call our firm are calling an attorney for the first time in their life. They’ve never made a personal injury claim on an accident before, but they know they’ll need an attorney. With no experience in picking a lawyer, you might not no what to expect. So here are some basics about our firm’s way of talking to new callers.
First, you contact us via our 314-444-4444 number, or we’ll call you after you fill out a form on our website. Or Client Intake Specialist will ask you a few specific questions about your accident. These general questions give lawyers an idea of what’s going on before they even pick up the phone. The questions will involve the nature of your accident, the types of injuries you suffered, your insurance information, and any other details that the intake specialist thinks to be relevant.
If you call after hours, the intake specialist will send the information over to a lawyer who will call you within 24 hours. If you call during office hours, we’ll transfer you over to an attorney directly. Since the information you provided is in the system already, the attorney shouldn’t have to have you repeat any answers, but may ask you for additional details that may seem prudent.
At this point, you can ask the attorney any questions you have. The lawyer can help you determine whether or not you need to hire an attorney in the first place (we won’t waste your time if you don’t need us), what contingency fees you’d likely see and what the next steps. Certainly, we aren’t fortune tellers, but our attorneys are experts in personal injury law, so we know what to expect.
